Before the first practice, outing, or class of a new season, set aside the gear and check what still fits and what needs attention. This is a fit review, not a storage project: the aim is to know what is ready, what is uncertain, and what needs a decision before the activity begins.
Review by person and activity
Gather only the gear for one person's upcoming activity at a time. Check sizes using the product's own labels and fitting guidance, and let the person who will use it try on wearable items where appropriate. Do not assume that last season's size or setup still works.
- Separate items that fit from those that need checking
- Match pairs and components, such as gloves or pads
- Note missing, damaged, or outgrown items without guessing whether they are suitable
- Check manufacturer care or replacement guidance when a product calls for it
Turn uncertain items into decisions
Write a clear next step beside each uncertain item: ask the activity organizer about requirements, inspect the product according to its instructions, or arrange a replacement. Keep that note specific, such as "confirm helmet model with club," rather than "sort gear." Avoid leaving a questionable item in the ready-to-go pile.
Keep the review separate from storage
The seasonal activity gear reset covers putting gear away after use, while the seasonal clothing storage system explains how to store clothes between seasons. Use the Lucru Home to-do list to assign an owner and date to the unresolved purchase or question.
Choose the next activity on your calendar and do one focused fit review for it today. Record any open question and who will resolve it before the first scheduled use.
